What the companion does

The CreatorFound extension helps you research and prepare YouTube content. It replaces the new-tab page, adds a companion panel on YouTube and Studio, and offers a toolbar draft helper. You control every final YouTube action.

Data used

When you are signed in to CreatorFound in the same Chrome profile, the extension requests your channel totals, public uploads, topic-matched suggestions, plan, credit balance and unread notification count. Your existing signed-in session authenticates these requests. The extension cannot read your password or YouTube OAuth tokens.

On YouTube search pages, visible result video IDs are sent to CreatorFound to retrieve public metadata and comparison baselines. On a watch or channel page, research is requested when you click its research button. These requests can appear in short-lived server request logs. They are not sold or used for advertising. The extension does not collect your general browsing history.

The Studio checklist reads visible title and description fields locally. Only clicking Generate sends their text to CreatorFound’s configured AI service under your account allowance. Generated drafts use the same storage and retention rules as website Studio drafts. Review your text before requesting generation.

Local storage and permissions

Approved drafts, followed-channel IDs and titles, and their latest public breakout results are saved in Chrome’s local extension storage on this device. When you open a new tab, followed-channel IDs are sent to CreatorFound to check public uploads, at most once every 30 minutes. Clear this saved data using the new-tab page’s Clear saved drafts and follows button, or uninstall the extension. Host access is restricted to YouTube, YouTube Studio and CreatorFound. Active-tab access lets your explicit Prepare action reach the focused YouTube field. There is no history, contacts, downloads or YouTube API write permission.

Your control

Sign out of CreatorFound to stop authenticated channel access. Disconnect YouTube or delete your account in your CreatorFound profile. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data; it does not delete your CreatorFound account. Channel counts may be rounded, hidden or delayed by YouTube.

The extension does not automatically post, comment, save, like, subscribe, play videos or perform paid tasks. It never exposes paid brand contact directories.
